Orange County Fires
Monday, November 17, 2008
Quite awhile back I said I was done changing my blog template. I was happy with the one I had .Night before last however I received a phone call from one of my sons that lives down in Southern Ca. Him and his wife had just bought a condo there about 6 weeks to a couple of months ago. They were being evacuated due to the fires. Being a mommy I was worried sick. Living in the town I live in there is no place to go after 6 P.M. except the bar and I don't do the bar. So sleep was evading me and I had nothing to do. I googled earth so much it was pathetic, I stumbled till I could stumble no more. I crocheted till my fingers hurt, and I googled everything I have always meant to google. That left me with only one thing to do. Find another template for Just My Day Blog!
Do you like it?
I finally fell asleep, (or should I say my boys in southern Ca. must have fell asleep cuz the phone quit ringing ) and THEN I finally fell asleep.
I am happy to say he was allowed back into his new home yesterday. I think it was yesterday. Nights like those can really screw up your "internal clock" and then add a couple years! LOL!!
PEACE!!!

Post from your igoogle page
Saturday, October 25, 2008
I just now happened to find this on my dashboard of Blogger. It seems that now you can publish a post from your igoogle home page with what is called the Blogger post gadget. I am doing it right now to see how it works. Just go to your dashboard and click on the “+ Google” to have this added to your home page. I am not quite sure if this particular gadget is something I will use much but I for sure can see how it could be real handy for others.
Quoting from my dashboard about this gadget it says "You can use HTML in the text box, but if you want more rich text editing — for example, to upload a photo — just click “Save Draft” and you’ll get a link to edit the post in the full Blogger post editor."
I just thought I would pass this a long as I had not noticed it yet myself.
Well now I just did use it and all came out fine as you can see. So another gadget from Google that may be very helpful to some!

Drunk E-Mailing Google to the rescue
Wednesday, October 08, 2008
Hey, You have been drinking, matter of fact you are at least coherent enough to know that you should not drive. So what do you do? You go and drunk e-mail, Yup. Then what happens? Ohhhh you wake up the next morning thinking SHIT !!!! Did I drunk e-mail last night? Well no fear as Gmail engineer Jon Perlow developed "google goggles" as a safety net for inebriated e-mailers.
Yup you are not drunk, you have just read that right! I was so shocked and non believeing I just had to check, and yes it is true. Here's how it works: google googles force a user to solve some easy math problems before allowing them to send a message. If they cannot solve the problem, then they will not be allowed to send mail.
Wow! Since this is still in a testing phase G mail users can activate it by clicking 'Settings; at the top of a Gmail page and then going to the 'Labs' section.
Currently this is only available late at night or on the weekends the time that Google believes people are likely to want to use it.
I am not sure if this will be of big help to me however as I have always sucked at math.
I would love to get some thoughts on this, Anyone?

Would you care to follow me?
Monday, September 08, 2008
Finally my name came up on blogger for me to add followers. Well now I have the followers widget, but I have no followers.I am sure you can see the dilemma I am in! LoL. So if you read my blog or visit once in awhile would you mind following me? I am pretty excited about this new widget as I have several blogs that I read thru my Google reader and/or just visit the blog itself. If these bloggers add this widget to their blog I will add my name to theirs as a follower. I think as bloggers this is a great idea for others to see the followers. Word of mouth (or printed type) is an excellant way to give the blogs and bloggers that you enjoy a word of recognition. As you can see on my sidebar i have my blog must reads written there, but I would love to show them on this widget also!
Anyone?

Thoughts to ponder
Sunday, August 24, 2008I love my little "thoughts to ponder head" guy on my Google homepage. I thought I would share some favorites of mine.
Everyone has a photographic memory; Some just don't have film
Do dead songwriters decompose?
If I pitched a tent on top of the stove, would I have a home on the range?
When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
