Woodworking for Mellow Yellow Monday
Sunday, May 17, 2009I am not going to lie here, I have decided to use some of my wood working projects for Mellow Yellow Monday pictures.
I have "met" quite a number of people through this great meme that I figure are not aware of my main reason for blogging in the first place, and that is my passion of wood working. So here are some of my favorite projects of mine I am using this week for Mellow Yellow Monday.
I thank you for allowing me this chance to share with you my art that you may not have seen otherwise. Thanks!

My mermaid, who used to be my avatar on the web.
"Clash of the Titans" is what this one is called and is perhaps my favorite scroll project I have done.
Worm in the apple a gift I made for my best friend.
My all time favorite piece of mine, entitled Indian Chief

Skywatch Friday
Thursday, May 14, 2009I love Skywatch Fridays meme. It has so many participants with sooo many fabulous pictures, it can be a bit overwhelming. I mean that in a good way. There's just sooo many
wonderful pictures out there, it's hard to even begin to comment on all the great photography.
Today however I was out getting my daily picture for another blog of mine when I looked up and saw these massive clouds blowing in. I decided to take a couple of pics and when I got home I was sort of stunned when I saw the one I am posting here. So I thought I would join in this week just to share what I thought was sort of a trippy picture. I have the original and then I cropped it twice more.
Does anyone else see an eyeball? LOL!!!

Watery Wednesday - The mill pond at sunset
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
You know, I realize that these are very dark pictures, yet I got a little thrilled when I saw the reflection of the setting sun on the pond. I seriously would love to know (if you are going to leave a comment,) which one you prefer, (or none at all) I can take it.LOL! I have always felt that I never like anything "centered" and they are all the same shot just moving over a bit, so I am just curious. Thanks I really will appreciate it.

Iguana - Camera Critters
Saturday, March 07, 2009
This is my second Camera Critters. I enjoyed very much doing it the last time. On the 4th of July weekend, my little town of Westwood, Ca. in the mountains in northeastern Ca. goes all out with a 2 or 3 day party. There is always a day of "The Blues" where they have awesome bands play the blues all day long. Which I do my best to never miss. Then they always have a party at our one and only local bar which I purposely miss every year. LOL!!!
During this couple days they have art, booths, etc. A real big deal (probably the biggest) for my small town and pretty much anything goes.
These pictures were taken last 5th of July in the park when it was the "Blues Band day" This iguana damn near took the whole day. Honestly does this iguana not act like he knew he was posing for a picture. He was awesome. I am sorry I forgot his name
These are the pictures for my 2nd Camera Critters.
(By the way the haze in the sky was due to the fact that northern Ca. was trying to burn itself up. We were surrounded by forest fires from June until the beginning of September. We breathed this air all summer, it was awful.

Mellow Yellow Monday-Sunflowers
Monday, February 02, 2009As I wrote last week when I did Mellow yellow Monday for the first time, there is not a lot of things to pick from in my town where I live in the dead of winter when it comes to yellow. (I might add however it has been the prettiest winter in a long time up here)
So I checked out some of the pictures I had taken last summer, and, well, there is not a whole lot of things that I know of that are yellower than a sunflower. This meme of Drowseys is quite the challenge, I love it but I need to think outside of the box here to come up with something yellow.
I plan on looking a little farther at all times. LOL!!!
But for today I give you sunflowers in my backyard last July. The last one has a friend.
PEACE!!!

Scenic Sunday
Sunday, February 01, 2009I did my first Scenic Sunday on my other blog entitled Pinetown's First Lady Living Life in Lassen County in the White House just last Sunday. I became hooked almost immediatally. The response, the people, all the different blogs that I was able to find due to Scenic Sunday was just too cool. Everyone has been so nice, and I have found a wonderful road to see so many fantastic pictures. I have, my whole life, loved photography and I could (and do) sometimes spend a day looking through peoples photography blogs. I love these memes and I am hooked. I can not wait to post my pictures here now so that I could start looking at others beautiful pictures.
These pictures were taken less than 3 weeks ago. The one below is my favorite.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share my Scenic Sunday with you!
and as always
PEACE!!!
