Coming home from my weekend away, I always check my e-mail and then I look in on my blogs and usually check out what I refer to here on Just my day blog as "my blog must reads" In doing that I noticed over at King Al’s Thoughts of the Day he has a post entitled Pet peeve, people who do nothing except badmouth McCain or Obama. The title piqued my interest and off I went on over to read the full post. In reading his post, it brought up a similar pet peeve of mine that I am now going to write about.
First off I agree with "King Al" about what he wrote in his post which you can find here. But what REALLY bugs me (or MY pet peeve)is when they bad mouth each other. Like the T.V. ads you will see. The phone calls you get (right at dinner time). I believe it has something to do with the way I was raised. I can not pin point an example, but somewhere within me, I just lose respect when I hear two grown men who are running for what is considered the most important job in the great United States of America bad mouth each other, with their below the belt comments. There is also the "lets leave out a little of this, and a little of that" comments that you always hear. The half truths. To me this way of presidential campaigning has always made me uncomfortable. The more I hear this kind of bullshit come out of their mouths the less respect I have for them. Then after they have stuck that knife into the back of the voters

(say myself, for instance because that is what it feels like for me)they twist it one last time by saying, "I am so-and-so and I approve this message." For me and my opinion they are saying
Allison, I am now just a little more disrespectful and a little more petty in my campaign to get you, a voter, to vote for me!
KING AL'S THOUGHTS OF THE DAY
Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Well it seems that with no intent at all , I just so happened to have written about others peoples blogs/sites the last couple days. The first one can be seen on here. This is of course my shameless blog promotion of my main site which is Wood Alley. And day before yesterday it just so happened that what I consider to be my ultimate favorite woodworking blog Scrollsaw Goodies and it's writer Travis, just so happened to have started podcasting about his scrolling. Because I really do love his blog so much and really am excited for him and for his readers about his new podcasting venture, I really did want to write about it. I have a whole set of different readers on that site, and it feels good to pass the word around.
Then Yesterday I wrote about TechFlaps/Waves of Technology written by Binish Mathew on this blog in the preceding post (and actually two other posts).
I really do this for only one reason. That is to let my personal friends and family (that mainly are my main readers here on just my day blog) and for my friends and readers in the woodworking community know of blogs/sites that I feel are key to woodworking know about these places.
Since I find myself writing about others blogs I cannot stop with out writing about one more. That would be KING AL'S THOUGHTS OF THE DAY. Albert the writer named his blog well, as this is exactly what it is, simply his thoughts of the day. Unlike the two blog/sites mentioned above that I so enjoy, Albert's blog is not theme based. It has a new and quite different post everyday. He obviously has a lot of readers as he generates a lot of comments, and they too are great fun to read. I found him and his blog thru Blog Catalog, and when I checked his out for the first time there were several things that caught my attention. One being in his header where most people have "about me", He has "almost nothing you ever wanted to know about me" . My thought first thing is humor! I love that. Then when I went on to read almost nothing I ever wanted to know about him, he has listed a love of baseball. That just so happens to be my favorite sport. But the main thing that caught my eye is that this blog is what I was looking for as a blog read. Everyone has their preferences and mine just so happens to be a blog like this. You never know what is going to be written and you never know what kind of comments it will generate. Something quite different every day makes this blog a pleasure to read. So to my family and friends who are reading this , give him and his blog a "check it out thing" you may very well find yourself such as I "checking it out on a daily basis"
PEACE!!!

Kind Al's thoughts of the day
Thursday, July 31, 2008
In my Blog List you will see I read King Al's thoughts of the day.I found this blog and " met" this person through Blog Catalog. He has a blog that has a different post of something daily. You never know what might show up there. That is why I find it interesting and why I read it.
Well he just so happened across my blog here, (Just my day blog) and replied in the comment section on my "Bear" story. (2 posts down) He sounded just as upset at this story as I am without all the swear words. He in turn wrote about it in his blog. If you would like to see updates on this horrific story just go here
.King Al's thoughts for the day
I believe as human beings there are things that just press our buttons. This bear story pressed mine. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I read it. It was bad enough that this bear was murdered but the way it was written in the article was just as bad. In their own words they say
WOW I just can't get over it!!!
I suspect I never will.
Again if you would like some updates on this story just click the link above.
But BEWARE,
If you are like me it just might "Press your Buttons"
I also want to thank King Al's thoughts of the day for writing more about this. If you don't even have an interest in this particular story I recommend you do a "check it out thing " on his blog.

While the bear could breathe, it couldn't eat or drink and was likely suffering from dehydration and hunger. "I'm sure there was high anxiety and frustration with its predicament,"Naplin said. And with that they decide that a bear that has wandered 60 miles that could not eat and was suffering dehydration needed to be killed !
WOW I just can't get over it!!!
I suspect I never will.
