Watery Wednesday
Tuesday, February 24, 2009My son Troy Mosley who lives in southern Ca. took this picture. Taken in San Diego I have to say this picture is breathtaking. Unlike what I take! LOL!!!
Yes he is a professional photographer besides being a wonderful son. I just got off the phone with his beautiful bride Amanda to make sure he would not mind me using this picture. I have it as my desktop. All I could have come up with for Watery Wednesday would have been rain in the street as our weather here has been less than nice!
Note, Not taken by Moon-Writer but by Troy Mosley

Have a great week!

I am a grandmother again!!!

Any one that has ever read this blog knows I have 3 grandchildren. My youngest is Andrew Robert who just turned 2 last month, then I have Katie Ann who turned 3 last September. Then there is Jeremiah Lee that I write about the most since he lives in my town who just turned 7 a few days back!
But none of my children have adopted a child until now. I would like you to meet the new owner of my son Troy and his wife Dil, (known as Amanda by all others) His name is Chumba! The reason I say he owns them and not the other way around is because when you are a true pet lover and owner the animals own you! After all Chumba has already made "his people" take adorable pictures of him to mail out.! Is he not just a little QT? He is an Italian greyhound, 9 weeks old and will only be 13 or 14 lbs tops when he grows up.
I have already received updates of his potty training habits, (which are excellent) You go Chumba!!!! Only a dog that owns his parents get people to divulge that much information! Yup I think Chumba found himself some good "people"!!!

I won, I won, I won!!!
Tuesday, December 16, 2008When I first started learning the computer, (almost 2 years ago now) I was entering "contests" and "draws". It was not long till I realized I had made a huge mistake. The spam started rolling in. "New offers" filled up my inbox!
But the other day over at Blogger Buster, (you will see I have the site in my sidebar of my blog must reads) they were having a very simplistic giveaway. Just give your name etc, and if you are the first (I don't remember the #) to do so, you could win a $10.00 Blogger template.
ThemeForest's $25,000 Giveaway - Your chance to get a premium Blogger theme for FREE!
Amanda, the author over at Blogger Buster has taught me everything I know so far about blogging, like HTML, CSS, etc. and she has a huge following. I just thought to myself, even getting spammed by them could not be a bad thing. LOL!!! She has started designing templates for Theme Forest and I have had my eye on one in particular called Planet Play. It was being offered for $10.00. I have been looking at this Template as I have been wanting to do something with my blog This too shall pass (thru). I made a lot of mistakes on that one from the get go. Like the address for it was completely different than the name of it and I was always messing things up because of that. People would think it was called to 2pass2me (the blogger address) etc.
Anyway I won!!! I have NEVER won anything in my life, well perhaps a couple little jackpots at a casino, and some money from California's scratchers . But NOTHING without investing money to begin with.
So Please stop by my new blog, It is going to have a lot of my old posts in it, but because of Amanda's designing of it, it is much more user friendly. Also the offer is still on, if you would like to share a joke, a picture, or something unuasual please just mail it to me and I will do just that. Just let me know whether you want me to post your name, etc.
Also anything there is for the taking. I received them all through e-mails, family, friends and my own web surfing.
Stop on by
And the name is the same as the address

I am leaving tomorrow. I am going back home. This week went by sooo fast. It is hard to believe it is over. Sitting here at my son Troy and his wife Amanda's new home I find myself filled with sadness AND extreme pride. Anyone who has ever read this blog knows that Troy did 18 months over in Iraq and D.I.L. (Amanda) stayed right here by his side every single step of the way. They were both quite young when this relationship happened yet they both dealt with it in such a grown up and mature way. It is something I as Troy's mother will never forget. I am not sure if THEY even realize what they did to and for each other at a time such as that. In this day and age and as young and beautiful as Amanda is I will always be grateful to her for the fact her heart was in Iraq with the man she loved, my son Troy.
I have been at their home last Christmas and I spent one night. ANYONE can pull something off for 1 night. But being here these last eight days, even the best con artists would not be able to pull the wool over their mothers eyes for eight (8) days!!!
I found myself admist a loving, strong, committed relationship. They have goals and are working towards them, and they are doing it together. They have committed to buying this new home for themselves, (which I personally really love, the lay-out is awesome) They both work and they are both going to school. They both have outside interests and hobbies for their own personal growth.
In the late sixties and/or early 70's there was a patch (the kind you put on levi's) also a poster and it was a saying that said
"U is only half of US".
I remember as young as I was thinking how beautiful and how awesome, (of course at the time I probably said groovy) LOL!!! that saying was. I am now seeing it. And it is a wonderful feeling to see my son in such a realtionship. I really believe that they are like a scale and that they balance each other out. Like it was destined, like it was meant to be. Had either one of them met and married another, the scales would never have been truly balanced out!
I am a very happy mother today, and am so thankful I got this time with them so that I could see real love in real action.
Yes! Yes! Yes!

Waking up a few minutes ago at my son Troy and his wife D.I.L. (known by all others as Amanda)( D.I.L. is a term of endearment I have used for her since right before they got married and it DOES have a story, behind it, just not to be told in this post.) They are purchasing this beautiful Condo they are living in and have only just moved in around 3 months ago. My youngest son Hunter is now also calling this address home for a short time.
It is Saturday morning, it is 8:30 A.M. D.I.L. has already got up at 5:00 A.M. to pick up Hunter from work . He worked yesterday friday at one job from 3 in the afternoon until 9 last night, at which time he ran home for a quick bite and then off he went to his "graveyard shift" job of which ended at 5.
He comes home and goes to bed.
D.I.L. goes back to bed for a quick hour and a half nap after picking Hunter up from work before she leaves to be at her job as a hairdresser at 7:30 A.M.
Meantime Troy has left at 6:00 A.M. to do 4 and a half hours of power training on his mountain bike for another up and coming race soon.
With all this going on and all of it being done damn near before the rooster crows, it just plumb tuckers me out watching so I must sleep in till 8:00 A.M.
LOL!!!
Now the house is quiet, I wake grab a cup and sit down to write this, because this morning is nothing compared to what the rest of the day holds!
Whew, I am tired after writing all this, perhaps I should take another quick nap before Troy is expected home at 10:30 or 11:00 this morning. It is his 25th birthday today. We also are going to the celebration of my grandson Andy's big 2nd birthday.Yup, This old "granny" better grab another quick power nap before the day begins
